Rhythm (Middle School)

*** RHYTHM GATHERINGS ARE CURRENTLY PAUSED FOR THE SUMMER ***
RHYTHM & FIRST FRIDAY WILL RELAUNCH IN SEPTEMBER!

SUNDAYS IN THE SUMMER!

For the summer months of June through August, middle school students are invited to participate in HillsideKids Summer Serve 2017!

Middle schoolers are invited to help lead the younger children in Waumba Land, UpStreet, and Avenue252 every Sunday through the summer!

To be a part of it, students should arrive in their HillsideKids shirt (they will be given one if they don’t have one!) and meet their Rhythm leaders at 10:15am for donuts in the office behind the nursery. They will sign in, pick up their name tag, and get their assignment for the morning!

Summer Serve is a great way to put into practice everything the middle schoolers have been learning throughout the year at Rhythm. (They can also earn community service hours).

If middle school students would rather not participate, they are more than welcome to join the Sanctuary service throughout the summer. Rhythm will relaunch for the 2017-18 school year in September.

RHYTHM

Rhythm is a community of middle school students learning what it means to follow the rhythm of Jesus for the good of the world.

We gather every Sunday morning at The House (just below Hillside’s main building) in order to connect with each other, discuss relevant issues, explore faith, and have a ton of fun! It’s not easy being in middle school.

We know that students are faced with a lot these days and have a lot of questions about faith, spirituality, and eternity. We connect students to our amazing adult mentors who will walk alongside them through it all, leading them one step closer to Jesus. Each mentor is screened, trained, and passionate about being a positive influence in the lives of middle school students.

FIRST FRIDAY

On the first Friday of every month, Rhythm hosts a fun, energetic, and safe event for all middle school students in Marin. This is a great opportunity for current students to invite their friends into a welcoming environment.
(Times and location vary – Please contact Tim Arnett to learn more information about the next upcoming First Friday)

If you have any questions about Rhythm, please contact Tim Arnett (Pastor to Students & Families)

OPEN-DOOR POLICY: At Rhythm, every middle school student, regardless of background, is welcomed and invited to be a part of our community. Further, we happily welcome parents who would like to come observe one of our gatherings. To schedule a visit, contact Tim Arnett.
